1 day in the Polish seaside: Gdańsk

Publicado em: 31/05/2019

nTell me, are you not already surprised by the beauty of this city? Because I am. Since I've seen the first pictures of Gdańsk some time ago, I was looking forward to finally being there with my eyes!nnnnn

nnnnnPort cities are by far my favorite type of cities, and I'm telling this not because I am crazy about beaches (I am not), I'm talking about the magical combination of boats, docks, seagulls and super stylish bay infrastructure bringing that Viking/pirate vibes. I really love this.nnnnn

nnnnnIn Europe, if it's too cold to invest in a proper beach style city plan, people know how to overcome the situation - and Gdańsk is an example of that.nnnnn

nnnnnn

nnnnnn

nnnnnWe went there for a day and it was enough to have an overview of the main places. I guess in the summer time makes sense to stay over for a few days and enjoy the beaches around! In that day was soooo windy!nnnnn

nnnnnnThe view from the top of St Mary's Basilicannnnnn

nnnnnnThe old town vibesnnnnnn

nnnnnThe architecture in Gdansk is reaaally impressive. If you think Krakow is the only place to go once in Poland, rethink your trip and add Gdansk to your plan (I liked it more than Krakow).nnnnn

nnnnnn

nnnnnnThe following place is a very photogenic spot for pictures and lovers nnnnnn

nnnnnThe Great Mill was built more than 660 years ago and it's still there, looking perfect.nnnnn

nnnnnnnnnnThe Mariacka Street is a must!nnnnnFull of majestic and gothic old buildings, it' a dark and creepy street to get lost in history. It feels like you are walking through an old cemetery, to be honest, but it's not, it's really amazing!nnnnFound this little citizen there ❤nnnnn

nnnnnnnnnnFood suggestionnnnnnPierogi ❤ Of course. Go to Pierogarnia Mandu (and prepare to wait in the line cause the place is crowded - meaning deliiiicious).nnnnn

nnnnnThat's it for today :)nnnnnnnnnnn
