There are so many good things to say about Italy, let's dive into my favorite topics - a short summary of what's best in Italy after living for around 1 month surrounded by locals in the countryside!

We all know how good Italian food is, but here I wanna focus on the ingredients, not the traditional restaurants everyone knows are amazing.

I love cooking, and since the time I had done my first groceries in Italy and prepared my first meals, I immediately realized the quality of any ingredient in this country is much better than anywhere else.

And I'm talking about affordable items, the ones any Italian can buy on a daily basis, nothing fancy.

It's just quality everywhere. Even meat tastes better here, but I believe they import the good stuff from Brazil (haha).

I can wake up and eat tomatoes, only tomatoes, without any complaint.
n
But I can also get some fresh pesto with super fresh mozzarella and have a proper breakfast.

I'll never forget the taste of the zucchini I had inside the focaccia I bought quickly at the train station near the Fiumicino airport.
n
From this kind of places you expect nothing but overpriced old food, but of course, I was surprised by this ultra-tasty snack that even made me forget the fact my train was canceled without a reason (well, this goes for the worst part of Italy, not a topic for this post).

Blue skyn
n This can sound stupid coming from a person born in a tropical country.nnBut I'm telling you, the tone of blue of the Italian sky is something I never have seen in my life pallet.nnFor real.nnIt's always a deep blue that gives you motivation and a sense of life.n

Open-air museum everywhere you gon

That's no news when you talk about famous cities like Rome, Venice, Florence. But even in the countryside, there is so much history in every single place you go.

In Blera, for example, a place nobody knows about, it's full of archeological sites dated from hundreds of years before Christ - and you find it by mistake, walking here and there.

God, that makes a difference.

After a journey of living in completely different places - Hungary (egészségedre), Denmark (smørrebrød), and traveling several times to Poland (Szymankowszczyzna), it feels so good to hear ciao, bella! ♡

Not mentioning how romantic Italian sounds, right?

Maybe I'm spoiled because I had a countryside experience, but I'm impressed with the nice communication I had with Italians.

Smiles, good mornings between strangers, hello in the middle of the street. Having trouble in the supermarket? They will help you without a complaint.

Good taste and stylen

Oh, they definitely have a style.
n
It's so nice to see the old people well dressed, I especially like the unique design of the eyeglasses' frames old grandpas use combined with nice suits when they go out on Sundays - reminds me my grandfather, José, he used to do the same - he was a tailor and did his own clothes!
